Award Ceremony Held for Wuhan's Leading Science and Technology Innovation Enterprises
Changjiang Daily's integrated media reported on December 28th (Reporter Deng Xiaolong): On the 28th, the 2017 Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit Forum and the Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Leaders Series event held an awards ceremony to commend advanced examples that have made outstanding contributions to Wuhan's scientific and technological innovation. 30 enterprises and 10 individuals received awards.
At the awards ceremony, 10 enterprises, including China Railway Eleventh Bureau Group Urban Rail Transit Engineering Co., Ltd., were awarded "2017 Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Leaders"; 10 enterprises, including China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Co., Ltd. Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd., were awarded "2017 Top Ten Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprises"; and 10 enterprises, including Wuhan Intelligent Equipment Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., were awarded "2017 Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Growers". In addition, 10 individuals, including Qu Bin, general manager of Wuhan China Electric Energy Saving Co., Ltd., were selected as "2017 Top Ten Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation Entrepreneurs".
This event was jointly organized by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, the Wuhan Enterprise Federation, and the Wuhan Entrepreneurs Association. It was officially launched in early June this year. Based on the principle of enterprises' independent application and voluntary participation, through recommendations from relevant departments and industry associations, combined with self-recommendations from enterprises, more than 100 enterprises meeting the initial evaluation requirements were selected. On August 23, they were subject to social evaluation and reader voting through multiple media outlets such as Changjiang Daily, attracting nearly 100,000 participants. Through the initial evaluation, social evaluation, on-site visits, review by representatives of the organizing unit, and final evaluation, the final award results were determined.
A relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Municipal Association for Science and Technology stated that this selection is based on innovation, aiming to find economic enterprises and figures that lead the beauty of science and technology, industrial transformation, and the tide of the times in the era of transformation; to explore the exemplary strength of the economy under the new normal; and to select leading enterprises and entrepreneurs from five dimensions: innovation, strategy, foresight, growth, and sustainability. This selection is of great significance to promoting Wuhan's "double innovation" work and achieving the urban goal of building a modern, international, and ecological Greater Wuhan.
