Lutein

Lutein not only has bright colour but also good colouring effect (yellow colouring). Lutein is a good natural colouring agent and has excellent antioxidant function. Lutein is the main pigment in the retinal macular area of human eyes. It can not be manufactured by human body. It must be supplemented by intake of lutein. Ultraviolet and blue light in sunlight can produce large amounts of free radicals when they enter the eyes.

β-carotene

Star production of beta-carotene crystals is the application of modern biotechnology technology, using natural raw materials, microbial fermentation, extraction. 【Abstract】ObjectiveToobservetheeffectofβ-carotenecapsulesinthetreatmentofsummerdermatitis.MethodsThetreatmentgroupreceived4capsulesofβ-carotenecapsules,3times/d,orallyfor1week.Theexternalcontrolanti-itchsputum(containingcamphorandpeppermint)wasrubbedtwicedailyontheaffectedareafor1week.ResultsAmongthe50patientsinthetreatmentgroup,35werecured,8weremarkedlyeffective,5wereeffective,and2wereineffective.Thetotaleffectiveratewas86%.ConclusionTheeffectofβ-carotenecapsuleonsummerdermatitiswassignificantlybetterthanthatofthecontrolgroup(P<0.01).ItisanalternativemedicineforvitaminA.Ithasgoodcurativeeffectandsmallsideeffectsinshort-termandhigh-dose,whichbringsnewideasforthetreatmentofskindiseases. 1.3.1MethodofadministrationThetreatmentgroupreceived4capsulesofβ-carotenecapsule(productofYan'anPharmaceuticalFactory),3times/d,orallyfor1week.Theexternalcontrolanti-itchsputum(containingcamphorandpeppermint)wasrubbedtwicedailyontheaffectedareafor1week.   1.3.2ObservationmethodThemedicalhistoryrecordwasrecordedbeforetheselection.Thepost-treatment(Day6)andevaluationday(Day14)wereusedasobservationandfollow-updays.Thelesions,symptomsandadversereactionsofthetwogroupswererecorded.   1.3.3ObservationindicatorsObservedindicatorsbasicallyrefertothestandardsdescribedintherelevantliterature[2],includingskinlesions(erythema,papules,herpes,etc.),itsareaanditchingindicators,accordingtothecondition(0=no,1=mild,2=moderate,3=severe)toscore,thesumofthescoresoftheindicatorsisthepatient'spre-treatmentpoints.Efficacyindex=(pre-treatmentpoints-pointsaftertreatment)/pointsbeforetreatment×100%
